Balyay coco (A)

A broom without a handle, made from the hard ribs of the leaves of the coconut tree (Cocoyay sticks). The dry leaves are stripped and the ribs are tied together into bundles averaging three inches thick and two feet long. Used mostly for outdoor cleaning and sweeping house yards.
